An innocent 5-year-old girl has tragically passed away in what authorities are describing as a horror accident in the French Alps.

According to local media reports, the little girl was engaged in a ski lesson with a group of other people her age. And that’s when all of a sudden, a man who happened to be skiing at a robust speed violently slammed right into it, resulting in her death.

The heartbreaking incident reportedly took place at a ski resort of Flaine which is a region in the Haute-Savoie part of the famous French Alps.

The girl was identified as a British national who died in the sad tragic collision.

Police have gone on to arrest a man on the suspicion of manslaughter after the incident took place.

The young girl happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time as the skier rammed into her while she continued on her skiing lesson on the piste.

Authorities also spoke about how paramedics rushed to the scene and the child was immediately being transferred to a nearby hospital via a helicopter. But unfortunately, she succumbed to all of her wounds and was pronounced dead on arrival.

Just last night, the cops spoke about how they had managed to locate a 40-year-old local citizen who is now under their custody and is being interrogated regarding the horror accident.

“She was with four other young children when the incident took place. The instructor was there too. They were all on the blue or easy ski slope. All of them were standing in a single file, right behind the instructor,” revealed the officials in charge of the ski resort.

“She was just about to make a right turn when the man violently slammed into her at high speed, who tried to avoid her but it was all in vain,” they explained.

At the moment, the police are conducting an investigation into the matter which many deem to be an absolutely heartbreaking affair.
