BREAKING: Second 8-Year-Old Schoolgirl Dies From Injuries After Car Plowed Into Their School


A young schoolgirl succumbed to her injuries and passed away days after a car plowed into an elementary school last Thursday.

8-year-old Nuria Sajjad from Wimbledon, London, was one of the children who suffered extensive injuries when a vehicle smashed through the fence at The Study Prep School and plowed straight into the building with children inside.

In the tragic crash, Selena Lau, 8, immediately lost her life. Now, days after the ordeal, Sajjad also succumbed to her injuries.

“It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Nuria on Sunday, 9 July 2023,” her family revealed in a heartbreaking statement.

“Nuria was the light of our lives. She embodied joy, kindness and generosity and she was loved by all around her.

“We would like to thank the efforts of the emergency services, all the extraordinary staff at St George’s Hospital, the parents of Nuria’s class fellows and staff of the Study Prep for all they have done to ease Nuria’s journey. We request that our privacy is respected at this difficult time.”

Paying a tribute to the young girl and expressing sympathy for her family was also London Mayor Sadiq Khan who said: “My heart goes out to the family of 8-year-old Nuria Sajjad and everyone affected by this tragic incident.”

Following the shocking crash at the school on Thursday, the driver of the car, a 46-year-old woman, has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving resulting in death.

The details of the tragic crash remain unclear and the incident remains under investigation.

“Everyone’s in complete shock that something like this could happen… and the fact that this happened on the last day of term which was clearly a happy day at school is horrendous,” Thomas Barlow, a local councilor, said.
