Chilling Moment Football Star, 18, Grabs Her Chest Before Collapsing During Practice


An aspiring football star was filmed grabbing her chest moments before collapsing and losing consciousness.

18-year-old Linda Caicedo of Colombia was enjoying a training session in Sydney, Australia, when she collapsed suddenly.

After her health scare, the World Cup star was rushed to the hospital in an ambulance. While the teenager has since been discharged, local reports suggest that she was unconscious for at least 90 seconds during her ordeal.

In chilling footage shared on Twitter, the footballer is seen running around the field before coming to a stop and grabbing her chest.

“What happened was just a symptom of all the stress and physical demands of a World Cup,” a staff member of the Colombian Football Association said while claiming Linda is “very tired” but otherwise “back to normal.”

Despite the positive outcome, it is unlikely Linda will be able to return to the field in time for her upcoming matches.

The health scare comes just three years after the girl was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. Despite her grave prognosis, Linda managed to overcome her disease and continue her career in football.

“At the time, I didn’t think I could play professionally again because of all the treatments and surgeries I had to go through,” she previously explained.

“Mentally, it was a very difficult moment in my life. I’m forever grateful that it happened when I was very young. I was able to recover, I also had my family’s support, and I feel very good now. What happened made me grow. I feel thankful and happy to be here.”
