10-Year-Old Girl In CRITICAL Condition After Hit-And-Run BMW Driver Crashes With Family Car

A little 10-year-old girl is now fighting for her life after the collision happened on London Road.

A 10-year-old girl is fighting for her life in hospital after the driver of a BMW crashed into her family’s car and drove off. She suffered a serious head injury and her mother, father and a second, younger child have all gone to the hospital to be checked over.

Suffolk police are now hunting the man who caused the horror crash after he fled the scene for crashing with a parked Daihatsu Sirion containing a family of four people.

The incident happened on February 3, 2022, at 7:00 pm on London Road. It all happened when a BMW 116i failed to stop for police and smashed into a parked car containing the family. The suspect who caused the incident rapidly fled the scene in Ipswich.

While the poor girl who was fighting for her life was rushed to Addenbrooke’s hospital by ambulance for treatment and is now in critical condition after suffering a serious head injury.

Police said that after the collision, the driver of the BMW “fled the scene and ran off”. He was described as black, in his 20s, around 5 feet 2 inches tall, slim build.

At the time of the crash, he was wearing a long black padded coat with a white emoji design on the hood, light-colored tracksuit trousers, and white trainers.

Authorities said: “He is outstanding at this time and police are concerned for his welfare and keen to trace his whereabouts.”

The crash, described as a failure to stop collision, took place in Ipswich’s Burlington Road and the BMW sped off in the direction of Civic Drive after colliding with the family’s car.

Police are appealing for any witnesses to come forward. In a statement, the Suffolk Constabulary spokesperson said: “Police are appealing for witnesses after a girl sustained serious injuries following a fail to stop collision in Ipswich.”

“Anyone who witnessed the incident or who was driving in the area at the time and has dashcam footage is asked to contact Suffolk police, quoting reference CAD 335 of yesterday, 3 February. Also, anybody who has seen a man fitting the description above is asked to contact police,” they added.

The authorities are also looking for the help of others, anyone who can help this case can visit the Suffolk police website, or upload a dash-cam or mobile phone footage on the force’s website.
