BREAKING: ‘Friends’ Star Matthew Perry Has Died


American-Canadian actor, comedian, and producer Matthew Perry has died at the age of 54.

The beloved actor, who played Chandler Bing on all ten seasons of the NBC sitcom Friends, has passed away in an apparent drowning at his home.

According to TMZ, sources have informed the publication that Perry drowned “in his jacuzzi at home.”

Meanwhile, members of the LA law enforcement revealed that the actor was found dead on Saturday after paramedics were called to his LA home following reports of a cardiac arrest.

As of this writing, no foul play is suspected. It was also revealed that no drugs were found at the actor’s home.

In his final post, which he shared on Instagram just days before his passing, Perry expressed his love for dipping himself in water and relaxing.

“Oh, so warm water swirling around makes you feel good? I’m Mattman,” he wrote along with a photo showing him resting in a pool.

“Everyone is in a total state of shock. People are crying on the phone and struggling to accept this news,” a source close to Perry, who previously opened up about his battle with addiction and substance abuse, told DailyMail.com.

“It’s no secret that he struggled with drugs and alcohol for years but the last time I spoke to him, which was within the last few weeks, he seemed to be in a good place. He was upbeat and sounded sober and positive.

“He’d been to rehab 17 times and nearly died from opioid abuse but he was someone who was sincere about taking his life, and his sobriety, one day at a time. It’s such tragic news. Everyone is praying he didn’t relapse. Matt was a genuinely lovely guy. He was always the first to welcome newcomers to the group and would always volunteer to help and be of service.
