A 20-year-old bartender from Florida stabbed and killed his female colleague, with who he was romantically obsessed.
The Florida man became obsessed with Delfina Pan, even though she refused to date him on several occasions. Therefore, he allegedly stabbed her to death, right before he stabbed himself.
The 29-year-old Argentine woman worked with Agustin Lucas Mariani at South Beach Florida’s Kansas Bar and Grill Restaurant, located on Lincoln Road.
Moreover, detectives following the case closely also revealed how he waited for her outside her residence, so he could have another conversation with her and when she refused, he took out a giant kitchen knife which he brought along from the workplace and stabbed her.
The 29-year-old couldn’t survive the fatal injuries and passed away tragically on the spot. The accused then took off his shirt and began stabbing himself. However, he managed to survive and is now currently under medical care at the hospital, and faces second-degree murder charges.
Mariani did not appreciate the constant rejections he received and continued to live in an aggrieved state due to her refusals. Moreover, on Monday night, he waited for her to arrive at her apartment, following her shift and that’s when he took out the knife and started to stab her in the chest.
When officers rushed to the scene, they reported how the suspect was covered in blood from that the wounds he self-inflicted upon himself on his torso region. They even spoke about how he lay on top of Pan’s body, as mentioned in the arrest warrant that was seen by Miami Herald
Mariani’s obsession with the woman lasted for nearly seven whole months, where he repeatedly tried to declare his love to her, as mentioned by a fellow colleague that worked with the duo.
But little did anyone know that this would be the end of his bizarre one-sided romantic affair.
