In a bizarre speech, former President Donald Trump suggested that the United States should bomb Russia and pretend China did it, then watch the two countries fight each other.

Trump calls for the US to put Chinese flags on fighter jets and send them to “bomb the shit out of Russia. And then we say, China did it, we didn’t do it, China did it, and then they start fighting with each other and we sit back and watch.”

Trump made the suggestion while giving a speech during a Republican fundraiser to around 250 Republican donors at the New Orleans Four Seasons on Saturday night, where he spoke for 84 minutes.

Josh Dawsey, an investigative political reporter at the Washington Post said: “Trump mused to donors that we should take our F-22 planes, put the Chinese flag on them and bomb the shit out of Russia.”

As soon as Dawsey’s tweet came out, it was shared by thousands of Twitter users, many of whom expressed relief that Trump is no longer the US President, saying that his proposal risks the whole globe and extends the borders of the current war in Ukraine to a potential world war.

Last month, Trump called the invasion genius and praised Russia’s leader, Vladimir Putin, as smart, savvy and brilliant. He said: “I mean, he’s taking over a country for two dollars’ worth of sanctions. I’d say that’s pretty smart.”

As per CBS News, this time, Trump took a different tone saying: “Are all of these nations going to stand by and watch perhaps millions of people be slaughtered as the onslaught continues. No, we can’t take this massive crime against humanity? We can’t let it happen. We can’t let it continue to happen.”

The former US president has also claimed that if he were still in power, Putin would never have invaded Ukraine. He said: “Nobody has ever been tougher on Russia than me”, despite having repeatedly praised the Russian leader during his presidency.

During a phone interview on Fox News in August 2020 and while he was President of the US, Donald Trump had accused China of “copying” the US-made F22 aircraft, suggesting that the Chinese-made Chengdu J-20 is a replica of the F22.

In addition to his suggestion about painting American F-22s with the Chinese flag, Trump claimed that if he were still in office, Russia’s leader would have never invaded Ukraine. He said: “I knew Putin very well. He would not have done it. He would have never done it.”
