A 10-year-old schoolgirl who suddenly collapsed at school with a suspected brain hemorrhage died only five days later.
Rai-Leyah Parveen Saddique was rushed to Pinderfields Hospital in Wakefield after she collapsed at school in West Yorkshire.
The young girl was then transferred to Leeds General Infirmary where she sadly passed away.
Ms. Saddique was described as fit and healthy but it is believed that she had suffered a brain hemorrhage.
She was the eldest of three siblings.
Hundreds of people attended the funeral service at Jamia Masjid Swafia mosque in Wakefield. A burial service followed at Wakefield cemetery.
A spokesperson for the family said: “She was a hard-working girl who was loved by family and friends.
Rai-Leyah was the daughter of Asif and Natalie and the granddaughter of Mirza Mohammed Saddique.
Her tragic death was announced on Muslim funeral service Janaza Announcements Facebook page.
A heartbroken family member wrote: “Heartbreaking – she was a little beauty, little angel. May Allah swt give her the highest rank in Jannah we will miss u lots love u.”
One well-wisher commented: “RIP little one, sad for your parents.”
Another wrote: “Heartbreaking and so awful for the family. Sleep well angel. Love and prayers to the family. X”
A third said: “This is just heartbreaking. Condolences to her family and friends. She was beautiful.”
Someone else added: “RIP Little one, I cannot imagine what the parents must going through, I hope the find peace.”
Another wrote: “Heartbreaking and tragic news, she’s only a little older than our daughter and I can’t imagine the agony the parents must be feeling.”
