A three-year-old girl was among the six people killed in a massive fireball explosion that rocked the Turkish capital city of Istanbul yesterday.
According to reports from local media outlets, the incident took place during the afternoon hours of Sunday at a very populated city center. Moreover, this particular location is famous for being a leading tourist hotspot.
A dad and his young daughter were recently named by authorities as the six people in the horrifying crash that took place yesterday.
The incident is being outlined by authorities as a suspected terrorist attack that really wreaked havoc across the board in the peaceful and tourist-filled city.
Among the debris that was seen from the horrifying crash, devastating footage showed how there was an overturned pram lying there isolated on the streets.
The mega fireball explosion is believed to have taken place at the renowned Istiklal Avenue that’s famous as one of the most popular shopping districts. A total of 81 people had been injured in the incident that arose on Sunday.
Local media outlets confirmed and identified the father and daughter duo as Yusuf Meydan and his daughter. The former worked for the nation’s ministry of family and social services. Meanwhile, his young daughter was identified to be Ecrin.
Meanwhile, the Department’s minister was seen paying tribute to her colleague who denied the barbaric and treacherous incident.
“Our hearts burned with the bitter news of the treacherous attack in Istanbul”- she continued while wiping tears during this horrible incident that rocked the country recently.
