Authorities have announced a tragic end to the search for a missing 4-year-old autistic child who disappeared after playing in a sandpit near his residence.
Little Ifan Wedros Owen-Jones who hailed from Crymych passed away on August 7 as revealed by authorities.
Sources claim that the worried parents of the child reported to relevant authorities when he suddenly went missing. They say he was playing right outside their home in a sandpit but then all of a sudden went missing.
This made the family sick with worry and they called authorities to intervene.
Now, it has been revealed through an inquest that took place at the County Hall in Haverfordwest that the child’s dead body was retrieved by emergency services inside the pond.
The parents are still in a state of utter and complete shock with devastation. This is not how they had imagined their child’s search to end. They recalled him as a healthy and happy child.
“Yes he had autism but he enjoyed life to the fullest”- his parents explained while wiping away their tears.
Investigators and the police launched a joint search on the grounds during the same evening when the child was reported missing. And that’s when they discovered the tragic truth that he was dead inside the pond.
Now, a fundraising page has been created to help assist in covering costs related to the boy’s funeral. As of now, it has already managed to raise nearly 6500 pounds in the last 10 days.
The relative who designed the Fundraising Page says he adored fire trucks and the blue color. He also had two older brothers and one younger one as well who adored him to bits. They are all finding this time very difficult to deal with, authorities claim.
“Our lives will never be the same again”- the parents grieved while thanking everyone for their condolences regarding their son’s death.
