One Irish father is revealing his absolute heartbreak, horror, and shock after laying his eyes on his young daughter’s bruised and battered dead body.
According to local media reports, the father revealed how he found his child in an unresponsive state at his girlfriend’s home. Little did he realize that she was killed by his own lover.
The father was identified as Michael Cawley who is said to have fallen down to his knees in a crying pose while he pleaded for his daughter named Santina, who was just two years old.
“I laid eyes on her. She was in the most horrifying state, her body was covered with bruises all over. My legs and knees were shaking and I kept calling her name. I feared for the worst, and it was true. My baby was no more, she was gone”- the father continued in an emotional tone.
The room where her body was located is said to have been covered with stains from all over.
Now, the evil suspect has been arrested and is standing trial for the child’s murder. She has been identified as 37-year-old Karen Harrington.
Little Santina’s body was reportedly covered in fractures and bruises. There wasn’t an inch of her skin that didn’t have injuries to them, clearly reflecting the abusive suspect’s motive to kill her.
After being rushed to the hospital, doctors also noticed a major spine injury and despite their attempts to save the girl, they couldn’t and she was soon pronounced dead.
The father revealed to the courtroom how he always felt his daughter and girlfriend got on well. Similarly, he denies seeing any red flags that would predict his lover’s intent of murdering his daughter.
“I reached home and all I got to hear was how Karen had gone mad from the neighbors. I didn’t understand and when I laid eyes on my daughter, I just couldn’t process what was going on. My baby is gone, that was my biggest fear”- explained the heartbroken father.
