The infamous house of Chris Watts which has been dubbed a murder residence is finally being sold off in Colorado.
According to sources from local media outlets, experts in the real estate industry mentioned how the residence was standing empty for so long as no one wished to buy the property due to the concerning story behind the matter.
This is the same home where the murderer strangled his wife and killed their two young daughters.
Now, four years on, it’s finally been bought despite being so irregular in terms of buying in the market. This 4200-square-foot mansion is located in Frederick Colorado and it features views of the Rocky Mountains.
Today, experts claim it was sold for a staggering $600,000 and that’s well above the initial target of $400,000 that the couple paid out in the year 2013 when they became actual owners.
Moreover, images of the interior suggest that almost no changes have been made since it was last occupied in 2018.
Watts is currently in jail. He is serving multiple life sentences for killing his pregnant wife named Shannan and their young daughters named Bella and Celeste.
After strangling his wife to death, the killer reportedly took the body away in his truck which carried the two daughters too. He reportedly killed those two by smothering them inside a blanket as confirmed by local media outlets.
And that’s why the house has had so many problems related to its buying and selling. People just don’t want anything to do with such a tainted image and it makes it harder to sell to real estate agents.
The Sun reportedly how the house was sold and it’s now going to be occupied by a new family who will fill it up with nothing but smiles.
