The soccer team from Wales who reportedly traveled for the FIFA World Cup tournament in Qatar with a young fan is now sharing some devastating news.
It has been confirmed that the young fan has passed away. The terrifying tragedy has forced FIFA officials to send out heartbreaking tributes on the demise. At the same time, the Football Association of Wales was also witnessed paying tribute to the tragic incident.
This young individual was a son of a die-hard FIFA fan but little did anyone know that he would be losing a loved one at one of the biggest sporting events of the year.
The individual was named by the Welsh Federation Authorities as Kevin Davies who is believed to have passed away in Doha with his pals and young son. But in the end, he was taken sick and passed away due to natural causes. This took place on Friday, as confirmed by local media outlets.
The Football Supporters’ Association mentioned on Twitter how heartbroken they were to hear the news. They referred to him as a young Red Wall who died in Qatar.
“Our sincere condolences go out to all his loved ones. We are deeply saddened at the news and hope the family gets the strength to bear this loss. May he rest in peace”- the statement read.
Other condolences came forward from The Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office. They said they were in contact with Mr. Davies’s family and would be providing all sorts of support for the funeral service and transfer, including legal complications.
“The FAW is in contact with Kevin’s family to help in whatever way possible”- the message continued.
