But this decision came thirty minutes after they were informed not to storm into the building as revealed by a recent report. Pete Arredondo who is the chief of the Uvalde Consolidated Independent School District had reportedly stopped at least 19 officers from storming into the school.

According to local news outlets, there were a number of armed officers hailing from the Border Patrol as well as the Homeland Security who arrived at the scene of the school shooting in Texas. They were informed by members of the local police chief how they shouldn’t go into the building, as stated by the new report.

Sources added how the initial call for 911 had come at about 11:30 am. And slowly it was clear to so many people how the entire school was under a major attack and something needed to be done.

Therefore, that was the point where a number of units from all across the region started to gather and enter the site to help save the victims. But many felt the decision came too late and that is what ultimately led to the death of 21 individuals.

These people were stated to be on the scene during the hours of noon and 12:15 pm.

Now the controversy continues as two senior members of the federal law enforcement officers recently talked with news outlet NBC where they revealed how the units were instructed to wait before entering.

“They were mistakenly informed by Arredondo that the gunman had been cornered and hence wasn’t a huge threat”- mentioned an officer. And while they obeyed at first, 30 minutes of desperation were seen as kids continued to call 911 for help. And that’s when they finally stormed in.
