A restaurant worker in Wisconsin was shot in the face by twin sisters who complained about the $3 hamburger missing from their order.
26-year-old Anthony Rodriguez, a father-of-one working at a Wauwatosa George Webb, survived the horrifying shooting that left his spine fractured and parts of the bullet still stuck in his throat.
Speaking to local outlet WISN-TV, he said: “I do remember just laying on the ground and just bleeding out.”
Rodriguez continued: “I was in so much shock. I don’t really remember being in much pain, but I remember kind of internally freaking out and being very scared and just telling myself, ‘Wow, I’m probably gonna die here.’”
The dad-of-one was the only server working at that time when the attack occurred.
According to reports, twin sisters Breantha and Bryanna Johnson, both 20, were ‘impatient and rude’ while waiting for their order. They became furious when the hamburger they ordered was missing, then one of them returned with a gun and shot him in the face.
Police arrived and found Rodriguez with “a gunshot wound to the right side of his face.”
“The bullet went through my upper lip and took out my upper teeth and cracked my bottom teeth, so those will have to be replaced,” the restaurant worker said.
“There’s still big fragments in my throat from the bullet.”
His friends launched a GoFundMe page to cover hospital expenses and help the father with his son.
“I never expected to get shot being a server,” he added. “It’s amazing I’m able to walk. It’s amazing I’m able to speak.”
The sisters were arrested and are facing attempted homicide charges. They are now being held on $100,000 bail.
If convicted, both of them could face up to 65 years behind bars.
