A young teen has been charged with murdering her own father in a tragic stabbing incident.
Sources from local media outlets have gone on to detail how the incident took place just one day after Christmas, leaving the family broken forever.
The suspect was identified as a young teenager that hails from the southern part of Australia. She faces murder charges after stabbing her father to death, sources have confirmed.
The police explained how the incident took place during the early hours of the Boxing Day holiday.
The cops were reportedly made aware of the incident after being called in at a residence on Petherton Road in Andrews Farm. It was around 2:50 am at that time.
Reports spoke about the domestic assault but little did anyone know that a father had been killed at the hands of his teenage daughter.
The cops spoke about the distressing scenes where the loving 55-year-old father was lying on the ground, gasping for air. He was covered in serious life-threatening injuries, they explained.
On that note, they had been transported to the Royal Adelaide Hospital and doctors described his wounds as dangerous and due to violent stabbing.
The father reportedly passed away on Tuesday, sources mentioned. This is when the young suspect’s charge had been upgraded after the tragic news.
Local media outlets were seen capturing the suspect and taking her away in handcuffs. She was donning a light-toned tank top with jeans and was escorted into the police vehicle. Now, she will be held in police custody as investigations regarding the harrowing matter continue.
