A 7-year-old boy tragically died after suffering from a fatal asthma attack.
The incident took place in 2017 but today, authorities confirmed how the child could have been saved from the misery if his ‘drug addict’ mother had not neglected him.
The victim was identified by local media outlets as seven-year-old Hakeen Hussain who was reportedly found in freezing conditions, wearing his pajamas, outside his home’s garden in Birmingham.
Jurors involved in the case claim the young child passed away due to neglect as his asthma worsened due to the poor state of health and hygiene around his home.
Dust, filth, and mites were recovered from the residence that appeared as if it had not been cleaned for so long. Moreover, the child was also subjected to excessive amounts of tobacco smoke from his mother’s poor habits.
At the moment, the mother stands trial at the Coventry Crown Court. She has reportedly been charged with manslaughter as well as four separate counts of manslaughter and intense child cruelty, sources claim.
Meanwhile, it was absolutely heartbreaking in the courtroom as the doctor assigned for the case revealed in detail how the home’s living conditions were the main source of trigger for the child’s fatal asthma attack that killed him in the end.
In the same way, jurors were also shown images of the unhealthy and unhygienic rooms that were filled with trash and filth all around. Strikingly, that is where both the mom and son lived.
On the other hand, there were images that revealed so many piles of trash, boxes, and bags that were stacked upon a cot, which paved the way to other filthy rooms in the home.
