The ongoing Russian conflict with Ukraine has brought forward a series of devastating images that have so many people wearing their hearts on their sleeves.
This next example of a mother from Ukraine printing her baby’s back with her family’s details is no exception.
The mother spoke about how uncertain life in the country has become, ever since the war began. And that means you aren’t guaranteed life, no matter how much shelter and protection you seek.
For this reason, she’s making sure that her baby is in safe hands by writing down contact details so that in case the mother dies, people know who to hand over her child to.
The mother was identified as Sasha Makoviy who revealed that her young daughter Vira was the love of her life and she always wished for her bright future.
But with the uncertainty surrounding the way and the increasing number of hostile attacks by Russians on the go, she believes she needs to do what’s best for her and her family. And that includes making sure they’re in safe hands, in case she dies.
The image has gone viral, being deemed as one of the most heartbreaking pictures to surface since the conflict began, nearly five weeks ago.
The mother shared the image on social media which included her birthday and telephone numbers written across the young girl’s back in pen.
“I signed Vira in case something bad happened to us and someone would pick her up as a survivor”- the mother mentioned via an emotional post on her social media account.
“I wrote this message on the first day of the war because the sounds of explosions were ringing constantly in my ears. Yes, we may have found safety for now but tomorrow is never decided”- she concluded.
