One mother is garnering plenty of attention from the public after showing up with a face full of tattoos.
For most individuals, tattoos represent something very personal or are usually a small tribute to those that mean most. However, for one mother, it’s a symbol that she overcame her biggest enemy, which happens to be an addiction to drugs.
To celebrate her new beginning, the mother chose to cover her body in ink and her face was clearly no exception. And before she knew it, her body was adorned with body art that continues to attract unwanted attention from onlookers that can’t help but stop and stare.
Sarah-Jane Howell claims that her inkings may come by the dozens but they all mean so much to her.
Speaking for a recent interview with Daily Star, the 26-year-old spoke about she got her first tattoo at 18 and since then, couldn’t resist the temptation and urge to get so many more, especially after overcoming her drug addiction.
“Drugs were a way for me to escape reality and when I stopped doing them, I had so much more money and time. And that’s when I thought, why not,” she explained.
Sarah-Jane has got plenty of interesting designs including her daughter’s name as well as ‘love is pain’ inked across her body.
Just recently, she had so many people rudely stare at her because of her new butterfly tattoo that’s printed across her cheek to disguise an inking of a crying angel.
At first, walking the public streets really scared this mother of one but now, she says she’s found a new confidence that allows her to do and be whatever and whoever she wants.
“People always rudely stop and stare, asking me all sorts of questions. Some even question what sort of trauma I’m going through but I just laugh it off,” she explained.
Sarah-Jane says she’s too busy loving and living her life to be concerned about people’s opinions and hopes one day, others can live the same way.
