Fans entering Qatar for the World Cup have been given a series of rules and regulations to abide by if they wish to make their stay pleasurable in the country.
According to reports from leading local media outlets, Qatar has warned all spectators from different countries to avoid entering the stadium with drugs because if they’re confiscated or found, they could possibly face the death penalty.
The news has spread a widespread alarm amongst many around the globe as this is definitely the first time that such a strict announcement of the death penalty has been made during a sporting event like this.
The country says it hopes things will run smoothly as they’ve put in a lot of time and effort into planning the grand sports event but there will be zero tolerance for anyone that fails to abide by the country’s laws and those laid out for the tournament.
As it is, the country which is a gulf state has been known for having some of the strongest laws against the smuggling of drugs and that’s why the supports are being warned from the start to be careful or face the consequences.
