One of Vladimir Putin’s top energy executives has reportedly died under the most mysterious circumstances recently.
According to local media outlets, the 39-year-old businessman passed away all of a sudden after falling off a boat that was being driven at full speed.
The victim was identified as Ivan Pechorin who held the position of managing director for the post of the Corporation for Development of the Far East and the Arctic. He was confirmed dead on Saturday, September 10, near Russky Island. The exact location was determined to be around 5800 miles east of the capital city of Moscow.
Sources claim Pechorin’s death is the latest in the series of high-profile executive deaths linked to the Russian President, ever since Russian began its invasion of Ukraine on February 24.
According to a recent report by Newsweek, Pechorin was stated to be busy working on a series of modern projects linked to aviation in the eastern part of Russia. He was also known to have created a number of resources in the Arctic in light of the heavy sanctions put out.
His final appearance in the public eye was related to the Eastern Economic Forum, which was a major event that is known for promoting investment in the country and had reportedly taken place between September 5 to September 8.
Pechorin could be seen speaking at a recent session that was titled, ‘Everyone has their own route: The Logistics of a Changed World!’
Right before his death, he was known to have made a few bold statements, one of which reportedly spoke about him opposing the current ongoing invasion by Russia of Ukraine.
It’s also shocking how on the same day as his death, the speed and the effectiveness of the counterattack put up by Ukraine against Russian forces had so many people stunned. So many invading Russian troops were pushed back by Ukrainian troops.
