Celebrity trainer Eric Fleishman, also known as Eric The Trainer, has passed away at the age of 53.
According to reports, he died unexpectedly at his California home on Thanksgiving.
His official Instagram page announced: “We are heartbroken to share that Eric Phillip Fleishman passed away unexpectedly on the morning of November 24, 2022.”
“His wife Alysia, son, parents, and close friends/family are deeply saddened by this event,” the statement continued.
“Eric touched many lives for the better. He was a beacon of light, hope, and love.”
The statement also said that the grieving family welcomes the community to join them in celebrating Eric’s life by sharing tributes, experiences and memories.
“Please send photos, videos, music, and stories as to how Eric impacted your life. Our hope is to assemble these contributions for a Celebration of Life ceremony in the near term.”
It concluded: “This loss is devastating, and we appreciate your thoughts and prayers.”
The cause of death has yet to be announced.
Fleishman had worked with numerous celebrities including Patrick Schwarzenegger, Kirstie Alley, Jason Priestley, and more.
He also trained music stars such as Fall Out Boy, Def Leppard, and Journey.
Aside from fitness, Eric also worked with the LAPD, Swat Teams, and CHP, according to his bio.
Just last week, Fleishman had been spotted looking happy and healthy in the Cayman Islands.
He wrote in a post: “We’ve arrived in Grand Cayman @theclubcricketsquare and @coachtimheath has welcomed us with open arms and BIG biceps.”
His last post showed him resting in a hanging chair, with the caption that read: “Loving the relaxing vibes of ISLAND LIFE.”
But only a week later, his wife shared the heartbreaking news of his passing.
Fleishman is survived by his wife Alysia and their son Henry.
