An American envoy from the Biden administration has come under fire for declaring that Afghan women require some black girl magic to help them overcome the oppression being thrown by the Taliban government.
The news left many people dumbfounded and it certainly was not long before critics came forward and blasted her for being awfully insensitive and thoughtless regarding the matter.
Republicans were among the first to mention that this sort of behavior was inexcusable while another claimed that she should be ashamed of herself for calling a diplomat because she did not fit into that role, whatsoever.
And while the envoy did make it a point to offer her sincere apologies, it more or less fell on deaf ears.
The news comes at a time when females in the war-torn nation are struggling with daily life as the Taliban have barred them from pursuing an education and working in places that feature men.
It’s more or less like living in a male-dominated society where females are restricted to their households putting their lives at a complete standstill.
Karen Decker’s awful and highly offensive comments were made through a recent post on her Twitter account. The criticism she received online was just too much to comprehend as people were appalled that she was indeed the top diplomat choice for holding relations between the two nations.
But Karent has tried to defend her behavior by stating that she did not mean to say those words and that the context in which it has come out was certainly not her intention.
She further went on to elaborate on how the decision to make that statement was in honor of celebrating Black History Month as she felt all African Americans in the nation were dominating and so powerful in their everyday lives. What do you think?
