Pregnancies can be a difficult scenario altogether and when you’ve got a hospital that refuses to cooperate, things can get really ugly for the expecting mother.
A mother was recently forced to deliver her baby on the driveway after the hospital staff told her to calm down and return when she was ready to deliver her child.
Hannah Mitchell says she felt so much pain that a point had come that she felt that she would not make it out alive. And that’s when she and her husband thought the only way to do this right was to have the delivery on the driveway.
“I did not even have enough time to remove my stockings. It just all happened so fast. I couldn’t believe it!”- the mother explained.
The way that the maternity staff spoke to this mother has the community enraged as officials have vowed to conduct an investigation to see why they behaved in that manner to a patient that was all set to give birth.
“It was the midwifery team that sent my husband and me packing to leave the premises, we were shocked!”- the mom mentioned. On that note, Hannah and Phil decided to take their bags and head back toward the car, devastated as ever.
As soon as Hannah pulled onto the driveway, her water broke. And she knew that she had no time at all to spare. It was going to happen right now, whether she and Phil liked it or not.
Her husband rang up 999 paramedics and they walked him through the process of how to proceed because this couple was on their own.
Phil was a great listener and very hands-on throughout the ordeal. He had no choice but to play the role of a midwife and it wouldn’t be wrong to mention that he did a wonderful job at the end of it all.
The couple was blessed with an adorable baby girl named Ruby-Lu that weighs 6 pounds and 8 ounces. As far as the hospital is concerned, they’ve offered an apology while a major investigation was launched against the Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust.
