Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s defamation trial has taken a new turn as Depp’s ex, Ellen Barkin has taken the witness stand.
The actress began her explosive testimony by correcting one of Depp’s lawyers who stated that their relationship was very romantic. She immediately corrected them by boldly revealing that it was more s*xual than anything else.
In the same way, Barkin revealed an incident where Johnny Depp had reportedly thrown a giant wine bottle across the room and that really instilled fear in her.
The actress is stated to have first become friends with Johnny Depp in the year 1994 when the duo worked together on a film called Fear and Loathing. And before she knew it, the actor switched their relationship from one that was work-related to another that was more personal or intimate.
She added how Johnny Depp asked her to meet up several times in the week, away from the work location where the duo was filming. And that’s when she was asked to clarify what ‘switch the buttons’ meant. And the actress said it was less about friendship and romance but more about s*x, she mentioned.
“He got really enraged at times and he was a completely different person. He would throw wine bottles across the hotel room, I remember he did that in Las Vegas once after engaging in a fight”- the actress revealed.
But Johnny Depp has denied all of those claims in the past as well, adding how his former partner labeled him as abusive because she had a major grudge against him.
The actor has also previously testified how he never wanted a full-blown relationship with her and yes, the couple were busy fooling around. And that’s when the actress couldn’t handle it and chose to bad-mouth him because he didn’t see her as someone that he would want to possibly marry in the future.
