Pregnancy can be a complicated affair for many women and this next real-life story about a young woman is guaranteed to shatter your heart into a million pieces.
Laura Mahon who hails from St. Helens says she was more than excited to learn about her first pregnancy. She didn’t know what to expect and she always hoped for a smooth sailing process. But one day changed her life forever.
The 29-year-old says she was sleeping and was 20 weeks pregnant at the time. But then all of sudden, she noticed her feet going numb and she just lost all of her sensation in that area.
“I could no longer feel my toes. I started to panic because this is definitely not something that has ever happened to me in my life. I knew something was wrong so I was taken to the nearby local hospital and that’s where I found out the biggest and saddest truth about my condition”- she revealed.
Laura says that doctors looked worried and feared for her baby. Hence, they began taking a few details about her medical history, right before they sent her out for some tests.
Laura revealed how she had no idea what to expect. And that’s when she was diagnosed with a brain tumor that had progressed way too far to be treated.
Her world turned upside down all of a sudden. One minute she was healthy and the next, she’s been told that she was about to die.
At first, doctors felt that perhaps her child was pushing hard against a certain nerve and that is what led to the symptoms. But when her MRI scan came positive for a tumor, she was heartbroken and devasted.
With a tumor that’s been growing for three years, there’s not anything that can be done now, except for prayers for a miracle, she says.
