Tragic reports have confirmed the death of an 8-year-old girl in Palm Beach County recently.

According to local media outlets, the young child passed away in a drive-by shooting incident that took place during the later hours of the night on Friday in Belle Glade.

The family of the shooting victim has gone on to identify her as Ronziyah Atkins who tragically passed away in the accident.

Meanwhile, deputies and paramedics responded in a frantic manner after reports of gunfire filled the air. Moreover, the exact location of the horrifying incident was deemed to be 500 blocks of Southeast on 1st street, at about 7:15 pm.

After being discovered by paramedics, the child was immediately rushed to the hospital in what authorities deemed to be a critical condition.

At that moment in time, the Sheriff’s department also had alerted the media about the alarming situation, right before 10 pm. They revealed how she had passed away, leaving her loved ones in absolute shock and terror.

Investigators of the case have also spoken about how the shooting incident was definitely a drive-by act.

They also revealed how the County Sheriff’s Office is now offering a reward worth $25,000 for any sort of information regarding the most senseless and tragic homicide that took away the life of an innocent 8-year-old child.

Authorities have also urged media personnel to come forward and call the Crime Stoppers’ helpline if they have any information on the incident.

Witnesses have reported how the young child happened to be playing in her home’s front porch with her cousins and siblings when the tragically violent incident occurred.

As investigations into the incident continue, detectives have revealed how they do not believe that the young girl was the target.
