Devastating images coming in from Turkey are showing the aftermath of the deadly earthquake that has now claimed up to 19,000 lives.
Another heartbreaking image showed a mother breaking down into tears after being rescued by workers taking part in the relief operations.
She was believed to be stuck under the rubble for nearly 68 hours since the tragic incident took place, with many calling her survival an absolute miracle.
But this is just one of the hundreds of miracle stories coming out of Turkey and Syria as we speak. Moreover, sources have gone on to mention how her son had been rescued just moments ago and he was alive.
Both the mother and the son had been trapped under the rubble since the earthquake took place, she explained. But it was all thanks to the rescue and relief operations taking place in both countries that they were able to come out alive.
Both local as well as foreign teams are working side by side to assist with the rescue operations while other nations pour in support through financial aid and more volunteers so that both nations can come back stronger.
It was a sight of great smiles across the board as so many workers hailed one another for their great efforts in this regard.
Working in freezing temperatures and having mounds of debris covering so many innocent victims is just heartbreaking to watch, confirmed one volunteer. But these individuals hope to say there until their last breath.
While it was a celebration on one extreme, another extreme showcased a father removing his own daughter from debris that covered her for days. And by the time he discovered where she was, she failed to generate a response. And it was evident that she had passed away.
