JUST IN: Anonymous Donor Offers To Cover Funeral Costs For All 12 Victims Killed In Texas School Massacre, Gov. Greg Abbott Says

An anonymous donor offered $175,000 to cover the funeral costs of all 19 people killed in the Texas school massacre, Texas Governor Greg Abbott announced on Friday.

Speaking at a press conference, Abbott said that all the funeral costs would be ‘taken care of’ but did not give any indication as to who the Good Samaritan was.

However, some people have speculated about whether the anonymous donor could be Elon Musk, who currently resides in Austin.

“An anonymous donor who attended the meeting and provided $175,000 to ensure that every cost of every family concerning anything about funeral services is going to be taken care of,” Abbott said.

“No family who is suffering from incalculable heartbreak at this time will have to worry about a single cost with regard to anything concerning this travesty.”

He also said that mental healthcare will be provided to anyone who needs it.

“When I say anyone that means the totality of anybody who lives in this community. We believe you would benefit from mental healthcare services,” he said, adding that mental healthcare services would be given free.

“We just want you to ask for them,” the Texas Governor said. “The entire community has been affected by this horrific crime.”

On Friday, Abbott claims that he was ‘misled’ about the shooting after it emerged police officers did not enter the classroom where the massager was happening for 90 minutes.

“I was misled,” he said. “I am livid about what happened. I was on this very stage two days ago, and I was telling the public information that had been told to me in a room just a few yards from where we are right now. I wrote hand notes in sequential order.”

Questions have been rising about the actions of officers after it was revealed that they waited outside the school for an hour while the gunman, 18-year-old Salvador Ramos, was free inside the building to kill 19 students and two teachers.

Abbott also said that it was ‘inexcusable’ that many families may have suffered from wrong information as he ordered law enforcement to “get down to every second what happened, and explain it to the public -but most importantly, to the victims.”
