A passenger died aboard a Jet2 flight from Turkey to Glasgow, leaving those in his surrounding heartbroken and horrified at the same time.
Witnesses claim that the man suffered from a heart attack during the flight and despite trained crew members performing CPR and chest compressions, he just could not survive and died in the end.
It was reported that the cabin crew spent a staggering 44 minutes trying their best in reviving the patient. They gave him so many chest compressions but it was all in vain.
He was reportedly pronounced dead shortly after the plane embarked upon an emergency landing. The incident arose during the evening hours of Tuesday.
“They really did try their best to save the middle-aged patient but right before the plane made the emergency landing, he was dead”- explained one witness who saw the horror take place live last night.
The pilot had even requested for the plane to land before others in the queue, calling it out as an emergency but despite all the efforts taken to save the life of the passenger, it was all in vain.
The emergency landing was made at about 6:40 am in the morning. This designated airport was situated in Glasgow but many did hope that the passenger would be alive but that was not the case.
His family members were contacted and the necessary legal requirements were also fulfilled. “It’s just a very tragic moment indeed for the family”- a spokesperson for Jet2 mentioned.
“The man had been pulled into the aisle and it really did take a lot of people by surprise. They were seen giving him mouth to mouth but he continued to be unresponsive. By that time, it was mentioned by the pilot that the only way out is to make an emergency landing”- another passenger described the incident.
