A 39-year-old holidaymaker has reportedly passed away after being beaten and starved by guards in the United Arab Emirates.
According to reports from local media outlets, the man was located in the Gulf city of Dubai for his transit while on his way to visit his lover in Indonesia. But the violent manner he was treated by the cops in the city left him dead in the end.
An inquest heard the horrifying details of the incident where the victim was identified as 39-year-old Lee Brown who had a temporary stay in the country and was reportedly residing at the famous Burj Al Arab hotel. This is when he was accused of assaulting a maid.
Therefore, he had been detained at the Bur Dubai police station on that account but just five days later, reports of his death came into play.
The family members of the victim claim British officials failed to do anything right and did do enough to stop his death from taking place in the first place. Hence, they called them out and demanded that an immediate investigation take place.
Just the thought of accusing the foreign office of placing diplomatic relations above his welfare is definitely something worth a mention. And it has caused widespread panic and anger across the country.
Moreover, they tried to justify the behavior by adding how he had tried to beat himself up after he threw his arms around.
Fellow inmates informed his family about how the police were beating him and even making him starve. Moreover, they added how he needed help or else, he’d die. And sadly, that’s what really happened in the end.
