Actor Matthew Perry is turning heads after making some striking revelations about his health and how he almost passed away from an opioid overdose.
According to reports from local media outlets, the star is reported to have spent weeks in a state of coma.
The troubled Friends star was seen admitting to the news recently and really caught many people off-guard.
These confessions came in the form of a startling interview where he admitted to having undergone 14 different surgeries on the stomach and was forced to make use of a colostomy for this very reason for a duration of nine months.
Moreover, seeing him enter rehab 15 times in the past has a lot of people in shock.
All of the celeb’s issues were laid bare in front of the public. This includes how he first tested out for alcohol when he was just 13. And, he continued on with his drinking habit during his late teenage years and after that too.
In the year 1997, doctors prescribed him opioids so he could cope with the pain. And he managed to do that. This pain had to do with his jet skiing incident.
There was even one point during his career with Friends when he was actually taking up to 55 Vicodin in a day and that caused him to come down to nearly 128 pounds.
But even after that, he struggled with stopping. He just did not know how to do it.
It was in 2021 when Matthew joined other members of the Friends cast for a reunion. It was then that his fans grew concerned about his health because he was having trouble with his speech delivery as there was a lot of slurring. Now, it makes more sense as to what was happening and why it was happening.
