Heartbreaking details have emerged after Nick Carter and Aaron Carter’s sister, Bobbie Jean Carter, passed away at the age of 41.
The Hillsborough Sheriff’s Department confirmed that Bobbie Jean was found ‘unresponsive’ in the bathroom of her home in Florida.
“On December 23, 2023, Hillsborough County Fire rescue crews arrived at the home located… in Tampa, and they discovered a woman who later was identified as Bobbie Jean Carter.”
Carter was rushed to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tampa where she was declared dead.
Officers form the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office started a death investigation.
The 41-year-old was reportedly on probation for cocaine possession but her roommate explained that “she had not used any narcotics since her release from prison.”
Officers also did not find any personal paraphernalia or narcotics in Carter’s bathroom or bedroom. There were also no signs of foul play.
Police reportedly stayed with her daughter, 8, until her relatives from Orlando arrived.
The devastating incident occurred only months after Carter was arrested for theft and possession of a controlled substance.
This comes only a year after Aaron Carter was found lifeless in his bathtub on November 5, 2022.
Carter’s on-and-off fiancée, Melanie Martin, said at that time in a statement to TMZ: “My fiancé Aaron Carter has passed away. I love Aaron with all my heart, and it’s going to be a journey to raise a son without a father.”
According to the autopsy results, Carter died from drowning after consuming Xanax (alprazolam) and inhaling compressed difluoroethane.
The report suggested that Carter became “incapacitated while in the bathtub due to the effects” of inhalation and the drugs, leading to accidental drowning.
