Amber Heard has reportedly hired a new legal team to take on the Johnny Depp appeal.
According to local media outlets, the actress mentioned how she just wasn’t happy with the way things went down during the recent Johnny Depp defamation trial. Therefore, on that note, she’s willing to risk it all again and move with a new legal hire.
This means Elaine Bredehoft has been shown the door as the actress makes way for a brand new legal team, mentioned her spokesperson on Monday.
The 36-year-old star has reportedly hired a new team comprising of attorneys from the First Amendment including the likes of David Axelrod and Jay Ward Brown.
Both of these attorneys are known for the way they represented a case for the New York Times against a recent libel lawsuit that was brought about by Sarah Palin. She was Alaska’s former governor and then in the year 2008, she became a nominee for the Republican Vice President too.
The new team of legal representatives was seen issuing a recent statement on the news, where they welcomed Amber Heard and were honored to take her on board and represent her case during the recently filed Johnny Depp appeal.
Heard’s spokesperson also shed light on how the new appeal would be bringing new context and evidence to light and for that, the actress wants to make a fresh start with a new legal time.
The fact that both of these lawyers have been involved in high-profile First Amendment Cases just makes you realize that they really mean business. Therefore, it will be interesting to see how the new Johnny Depp appeal turns out to be.
