Tragic reports have confirmed the death a of newlywed dad who passed away after being involved in a horrifying five-vehicle crash.
Alex Firth was just in his 30’s. He had recently tied the knot with his wife Kirsty who was reportedly involved in the horror crash too. She is currently battling for her life in the ICU as she was with her husband.
The couple’s 10-year-old son is also said to have been in the car’s backseat and suffered injuries. But thankfully, hospital sources reveal he is currently out of danger.
According to local media reports, the devastating car accident took place in Barnsley in South Yorkshire.
The family’s car was smashed after the five-vehicle pile-up, just a few weeks since the couple tied the knot.
The loving father was identified as Alex Firth who hailed from Leeds and worked as a postman for the Royal Mail.
His wife was identified as Kirsty Firth who was reportedly in her 30s. She was immediately rushed to the hospital by being airlifted by paramedics, who deemed her condition critical.
The family’s Vauxhall Astra is said to have crashed into a giant truck in Barnsley.
Reports from Yorkshire’s police stated how the car crash took place during the afternoon hours of 1:30 pm. The pileup also involved a Mercedes, a Kia, and a Mini, authorities confirmed.
None of the other occupants that were involved in the horror pile-up are said to have suffered any major injuries but Mrs. Firth is said to be critical while her son is stable.
The couple was reportedly in the midst of going on their honeymoon as revealed by the grieving friends but little did they know about the tragedy that lay ahead of them.
