Local media reports identified the victim as Angellyh Yambo who was reportedly shot and then killed on Friday, while another 16-year-old female victim and a 17-year-old male victim were also reportedly shot.
All three of them were rushed by paramedics to a nearby local hospital called the Lincoln Medical Center.
Unfortunately, one of the 16-year-old female victims died while the other two were described by medical experts to make it out alive as they are currently in stable condition.
Yamo’s family is in absolute shock and despair as they mourn the loss of one of their brightest and most loving family members.
The young teen was described by friends and loved ones as a straight-A student who adored makeup and was the most caring of them all.
She enjoyed playing videos games like ‘Call of Duty and ‘Fortnite’ while songs from Beyonce and Rihanna were her absolute favorite free time tracks. These personal details were revealed by her closest friend who says she still can’t come to terms with the fact that she’s gone.
Authorities revealed how the victim was shot by a suspected male who was present on the street’s east side while shots had been fired from the westbound.
The gunshots rammed into the teens, moments after the men involved got into an argument that was reportedly taking place on the street’s other side.
The shooting reportedly began on St. Ann’s Avenue at about 1:45 pm in the afternoon and that’s when witnesses claim they heard around 6 shots being fired into the air.
As investigations into the terrifyingly tragic incident begin, police have released a statement where they believe the teenage victims were not the intended targets.
