One woman’s outfit was deemed to be too inappropriate for outdoor wear and now she’s blasting out at her haters.
The TikTok user was quick to document her story and mention how she received so much hate for something that she considered to be absolutely normal and routinely used for workouts and during gym sessions.
But many failed to agree with the personal trainer as they felt she was just trying to grab attention at the supermarket. Moreover, they told her to put some clothes on as what she was wearing was more or less equivalent to a man donning briefs at the store.
Sophie Allen even posted a video featuring herself where she can be seen wearing fitted leggings from her workout, alongside a very fitted black-colored sportswear top.
Many claimed that the top was exactly like a sports bra and hence needed to have a garment worn over it to be called appropriate.
But the certified trainer captioned her video with, “The hate you get for being a female and wearing a crop top at a supermarket just hits in a different manner.”
Another commenter wrote, “There are basic dressing standards, even for someone like you. And that includes you wearing a shirt!”
A third mentioned, “This might be because you seem to be treating public places as if it’s your private space. Please learn to have some respect when you are outside. Remember, it’s not only about you,” he added.
And just like that, the criticism continued to ring in. Many were appalled at how much hate one person could actually get on a simple topic like this.
There were also some who continued to show support for her. One woman claimed that she had every right to wear whatever she felt comfortable, and even told her to carry on with great confidence.
