66-year-old Greg McMichael was recently sentenced for hate crimes by a Judge in Georgia on Monday.
According to local media reports, Greg’s sentence was right before his own son was sentenced to life for the same reason, that the court ruled as hate crimes in regards to the murder of Ahmaud Arbery.
The sentencing came during the afternoon hours on Monday, by the US District Court Judge in Brunswick in Georgia.
The punishment is being called out by critics as extremely symbolic as McMichael had already been sentenced during the earlier part of this year, without any possibility of parole in the Georgia state, in regards to the crime.
But now, news about his son’s sentencing for the same reasons is raising eyebrows, with another shocking claim of the judge refusing to transfer both suspects to a safer prison. The latter is a concern as there is a huge amount of threat and fears of safety for the duo, local media outlets confirmed.
The ‘racist’ suspects will now remain in the same state prison despite multiple requests for a transfer in this regard.
Meanwhile, McMichael’s lawyers claim he is now facing murder threats by his own inmates at the current jail facility who wish to see him suffer, just like he made his victim suffer in one of the most unbelievably racist attacks of all time.
“But let no one believe that 420 months is a light sentence because you absolutely do not deserve any sort of a light sentence”- Judge Godbey Wood stated in a bold manner in the courtroom recently.
Bryan assisted two others in chasing down a black man that was jogging down the street, right before the murder took place. Meanwhile, his son was the one who shot down the suspect with his dad by his side, encouraging him to carry out the hateful crime.
