Police from Sussex has reportedly confirmed that a major car crash has taken place on the motorway, injuring three people in total.

According to local media reports, five cars were involved in the horrifying incident that is believed to have taken place at the M23.

The exact location was identified by experts as between Junctions 8 and 10. Moreover, two of the three victims were believed to be police officers.

In the same way, authorities spoke about how one 23-year-old woman is currently in custody.

She is believed to have been driving under the influence of alcohol and that is probably what resulted in the horrifyingly tragic incident.

Surprisingly, she is also believed to have no license and was driving without any insurance too.

At the moment, authorities have stated how the motorway is currently closed as they continue with their investigations on how the crash actually took place.

Now, shocking images from the tragic scene of the crime are going viral on social media.

Here is where the collision can clearly be seen with damaged vehicles as one patrol car is also wrecked in the incident and hence can be spotted on the side of the road.

The back wheel of the vehicle was ripped from its original position in the crash while the back door can be seen covered with dents.

Similarly, concerning images also showed how the car’s airbags had opened and that just went on to reveal the strong impact that the crash had in general.

One witness that passed by the scene spoke in detail about how wrecked the police car was as officers tried their best to keep traffic flowing in the right direction and avoid any serious blocks.
