38-year-old Emma Lou who hails from Nottinghamshire says she reportedly destroyed her wedding dress so that she could undergo the process of healing.
When it comes to love and relationships, things can get really tough, really fast. For everyone out there, it’s never a bed of roses.
Some are blessed with a lucky partner where marriages last a lifetime. On the other hand, some are given a hard time and are forced to deal with pain and heartbreaking. The latter seems to be true for this young woman.
38-year-old Emma Lou says she had no option but to destroy her wedding gown so she could heal from her messy divorce. For this reason, she covered the expensive attire in paint and set it on fire inside her home’s backyard.
The divorce took place when she was just 30 and despite 8 years passing, she never managed to get over it, until now.
The dress which is worth a staggering $1000 was doused in paint and gasoline so she could heal. And the incident is raising plenty of eyebrows across the board.
The couple got married after falling in love. But after so many long and painful struggles, they called it quits in December of 2018. The marriage lasted for four and a half years and Emma says she doesn’t wish to recall any of it.
While it may be a loss of her money, she says the ordeal has really opened her eyes.
Now, viral images of her in the gown covered in paint are taking center stage. While some people approved, others felt she shouldn’t be judged as we all heal in different ways.
“It’s called emotional healing. And I’ve found my way around it”- she adds.
