Many Buffalo citizens erupted in fury recently after a shocking verdict took center stage regarding two cops who used violence against an elderly protester.
According to local media reports, two police officers who were caught on camera shoving an elderly BLM protester down to the ground have been cleared of all their charges.
The news comes despite many people’s take on how the officers should have been penalized for their wrongdoing that left the male protester severely injured and with a fractured skull.
The ruling reportedly came on Friday when officers Aaron Torgalski and Robert McCabe were stated to not have violated any of their guidelines when handling elderly citizens.
But the footage showed otherwise as 75-year-old Martin Gugino was pushed to the ground during the protest that was held for a protest outside the City Hall in June of 202.
The protest was said to have been organized by the BLM foundation in honor of George Floyd but it didn’t take long for the situation to get out of control.
In the groundbreaking ruling that was made, the arbitrator mentioned how both officers were not guilty of any of the three charges that had been placed upon them.
In addition to that, the arbitrator boldly declared how the officers were right in their own way to push the protester, calling the violent act ‘absolutely legitimate’.
He also mentioned how the protester failed to comply with the police officer’s orders where he had been requested to leave the area, adding how he was definitely not an innocent bystander.
In addition to that, many are calling out the officers who tried to downplay the amount of force used against the citizen, calling the act a nudge to move him away from ‘their personal space’.
