The mayor of Chicago has reportedly been slammed as an absolute disgrace by a leading 911 dispatcher.
According to local media reports, the news comes as the city tries to battle a never-ending surge in crime rates which many citizens are becoming very tired of.
The police dispatcher spoke about how mayor Lori Lightfoot needs to take some responsibility for her actions after turning the entire area into a death zone. This is especially after the city becomes a death zone as murders hit a new 25 year high.
The officer was identified as Keith Thornton who posted a recent video branding the mayor as a selfish individual who did not support the cops, despite all their efforts.
In the same way, the dispatcher also spoke about the city being so short on staff that serious crime and the ever-growing crime rates can’t be managed appropriately, keeping in mind the situation and circumstances at hand.
On the other hand, the officer also shed light on how it takes a normal police car more than ten minutes just to respond to one scene of the crime which is beyond appalling.
Keith Thornton made the accusation against the mayor via a video that he posted on Facebook recently on Christmas eve. And that is where he slammed Mayor Lightfoot as well as the city’s Superintendent David Brown for doing absolutely nothing to help bring down the crime rates.
Thornton added that there was such a shortage of officers in certain districts that even if you called them via a 911 call, they won’t be coming to you.
“These are not petty crimes that I am talking about. These are real females being beaten up, let alone stabbings and shootings too that continue to occur on a daily basis,” he went on to reveal.
