A student from New York City has reportedly pleaded guilty to killing his mother to attain her massive wealth empire.
According to local media outlets, the greed for money and power led one young individual to kill his mother so he could take over her massive inheritance worth a staggering $11 million.
The suspect was recently identified as 25-year-old Jared Eng, who pleaded guilty to the horrifying crime on Friday, leaving loved ones and family members in complete shock and awe.
He carried out the daunting act inside the family’s residence in New York City, where his mother was alone at home. And then he harrowingly disposed of her dead remains inside a garbage can in New Jersey, sources have confirmed.
The gruesome incident took place in the year 2019.
Eng slashed his mom’s throat using a sharp weapon and then brutally beat her until he was sure she was dead.
The duo lived inside a shared apartment, and he carried out the miserable deed while taking assistance from his girlfriends, the court revealed during the high-profile trial.
Together, they all disposed of the corpse in a garbage can and made a quick run for it. That particular garbage can was located inside his family home in Morristown.
The suspect pleaded guilty to the crime and went on about how he wished to attain the wealth of her massive empire through inheritance. And the only way that would be possible is if his mother died. For that greedy reason, he chose money over his mom’s life.
He even altered his mom’s passwords for her bank accounts so he could gain instant access to the funds and began to search for lawyers that would speed up the entire inheritance ordeal. But little did he know that he wouldn’t be able to get away with it for too long.
