The hate crime in New York City is seeing another massive surge as new chilling footage showed a stranger randomly attacking an Asian woman for no good reason.

The video is begin called out as beyond outrageous by authorities as the footage shows the 68-year-old victim being brutally punched for doing nothing.

According to local media reports, the horrifying incident took place in Chelsea recently and is now being strictly investigated by the cops as an incident categorized as a hate crime.

In the video, you can clearly see the innocent woman passing down the street near the Ninth Avenue and West 19th street intersection. The incident reportedly took place during the early hours of the morning on April 24.

All of a sudden, the male attacker springs out of nowhere and punches her across the face from behind, leaving her shocked and startled.

Before you know it, the female victim can be seen running back in the opposite direction. She continues to keep her arm out as a means of putting the assailant far away from attacking her again. But to her dismay, the man again comes and punches her across her torso and that knocks her down to the ground on the street.

The police claim they are investigating the incident, adding how the suspect is still on the loose as they are putting all their efforts to track him down. They claim he didn’t say a word to her when conducting the attack and instead, decided to run off in a silent manner.

After the vile incident, the victim was believed to be rushed ot a nearby local hospital where she underwent a medical examination showing severely bruised ribs and intense back pain.

At the moment, the New York Police Department’s task force for Hate Crime is leading a series of investigations and they hope to catch the assailant soon.
