Dozens Of Children And Adults Spotted Playing On The Lake Where Four Boys Died Just Days Ago


Dozens of children along with some adults were spotted playing on the lake where four children died just days ago.

Four young boys aged from 6 to 11 died after falling through thin ice while playing at Babbs Mill Lake in Solihull, England, earlier this week.

Just days after the multiple deaths, dozens of children were seen playing on the frozen surface of the lake, prompting concerned locals to urge parents and the authorities to take action to prevent history from repeating itself.

“The adults and children are out on Wimbledon common on a frozen lake, this is unbelievable and dangerous!” a local named Kerry wrote in her post as she shared footage of people walking across the lake.

Soon enough, plenty of residents slammed the “careless” individuals who are putting themselves and their children in danger.

“That’s so reckless, at least don’t allow your kids up there,” someone wrote.

“Keep your children off the lake it’s dangerous!” another said.

According to the reports, the police arrived at the lake on Saturday to warn the visitors about the dangers of walking on the frozen lake.

“Thank you for making us aware of this. Our officers are there now speaking to all involved and advising of the dangers going onto frozen lakes,” the police confirmed in a Twitter post.

The statement continued: “As much as we encourage people and families to get out & have fun, there are real dangers to walking, playing, cycling etc. on frozen lakes.

“Sadly four young lives were lost this week in Solihull. Please stay off the frozen lakes & ponds. It’s not worth the risk.”
