Two young children were left orphaned after their parents died suddenly shortly after Christmas.
1-year-old Miles and 6-year-old Josephina were left without parents after Chris and Michele King from Cape Cod, Massachusetts, died suddenly and unexpectedly just after Christmas.
According to the reports, both Michele and Chris passed away from undisclosed medical conditions in the days following Christmas and before New Year.
“Our big brother, Christopher, and his wife, Michele, both passed away this week,” the father’s younger sister, Nicole, revealed in her Facebook post. “Their young, beautiful family has been so tragically and suddenly torn apart.”
While the couple’s passing remains a mystery, the police have confirmed that their deaths were a result of “a tragic set of circumstances” rather than any sort of crime.
Michele, a math teacher, and Chris, a project manager, were survived by little Miles and Josephina whose family has since launched a GoFundMe page to help “set up an ITF account in trust for JoJo & Miles to hold the funds for their future needs including care and educational needs and future financial planning for their long term well being.
”
The page, which has since racked up $90,000, reads:
“For those who knew Chris & Michele, you know their love for one another was immeasurable and their love for their children, infinite.
“This is such a tragic and irreparable loss for these two little ones to lose both mom and dad suddenly and at such a young age. Their road will be long and rocky, but they are surrounded by so many family members who love them.”
Our thoughts are with Chris and Michele’s family during these difficult times.
