BREAKING: Nine Children Were Shot During Kansas City Super Bowl Parade As Footage Shows Gunman Being Tackled By Kansas City Fans


The celebration in Kansas City following the Chiefs’ Super Bowl victory turned into chaos when it suddenly rained bullets.

According to reports, at least one person died and 22 others were left injured in the shooting that occurred during the Super Bowl Parade only moments after the team including Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce left the stage.

Heartbreaking footage shows panicked fans running for their lives and some people were seen tackling the gunman to the ground.

Police have confirmed that three people have been detained.

According to TMZ, Children’s Mercy Kansas City was treating 12 patients, including 11 children, nine of which have gunshot wounds.

Spokesperson Laurel Gifford said a person in critical condition was taken to St. Luke’s Hospital of Kansas City and that three others were receiving treatment for minor injuries.

“When you have this many casualties, it´s going to get spread out among a lot of hospitals so that you don´t overwhelm any single ER,” Gifford said.

Police Chief Stacey Graves said in a press conference: “We are working to determine if one of the three are the one that was in that video, where fans assisted police.”

She also said that the weapons were recovered after the shooting.

“We have recovered firearms. I don’t have a number for you or a caliber.”

Police evacuated the train station as fans scattered in panic after the bullets rang out.

Kansas City Mayor Quinton Lucas said he was inside the Union Station when the shooting began and he praised the ‘stream of officers ready to face danger.’

The incident came only moments after the team including the quarterback, Mahomes, greeted fans after their historic 25-22 overtime win over the San Francisco 49ers.

A heartbroken Mahomes took to social media and wrote: “Praying for Kansas City.”
