Vladimir Putin is said to have survived an assassination attempt that took place around two months back.
According to local media reports, the Russian head of state is believed to have been saved by the skin of his teeth, not too long before he began his war in Ukraine, as confirmed by Ukraine’s intelligence chief.
Kyrylo Budanov stated that Putin was targeted and attacked by a number of representatives belonging to the Caucasus. This is known to be a region that includes countries like Armenia, Georgia, and Azerbaijan along with a few parts belonging to the south of Russia.
But the chief did go on to detail how it was stated to be highly unsuccessful in terms of his assassinating the President but that does mean it did not occur. The chief again went about explaining how it was severely unsuccessful to clear any form of miscommunication that had taken place during his speech.
When questioned about why the incident never made it on the news, well, the chief was quick to respond by mentioning how publicity or media coverage was made in regards to the ordeal but he was more than certain that it had taken place.
But if indeed this rumor is believed to be true and confirmed from outside sources, it would be the sole attempt made to end Vladimir Putin’s life during his historic reign as president of Russia.
While Budanov failed to link the assassination attempt to the ongoing war in his troubled country, he did take this moment to shed light upon how there were a number of enemies that belonged to the same area from which previous conflicts were held.
In addition to that, the security situation in Russia has also seen a decline in a number of years and that could possibly be another reason why.
