A jaw-dropping incident in Utah has left citizens and law enforcement officers startled after a four-year-old child opened fire on cops at a fast-food restaurant.
According to local media reports, the horrifying incident took place at a Midvale, Utah McDonald’s eatery where a child and his dad were seen flashing weapons from their Honda, right outside the restaurant.
The father was identified as 27-year-old Sadaat Johnson who hails from Salt Lake City. But new reports confirm that the dad not only had a 4- year-old child with him but he also had another 3-year-old child seated in the backseat too.
Despite being in the presence of his young sons, the father claims to have gotten upset and enraged after the order he placed at McDonald’s came out to be incorrect. And for that reason, he brandished his weapon.
After news reports about the incident broke out, cops rushed to the scene and asked the father to pull over to the eatery’s front side. However, the dad did not comply with the orders.
As cops tried to move the dad from his vehicle, they soon noticed another firearm coming out from inside his car. And to their horror, it was the father’s 4-year-old. All of a sudden, he opened fire.
Meanwhile, witnesses present at the scene claim that the older individual only fired one round after he heard his father ordering him to do so.
Thankfully, no one died in the terrifying incident as the bullet slammed into the eatery’s banner but one officer did reportedly suffer injuries of minor severity.
Other reports spoke about how the officers managed to deflect the gun away from them, moments after the father ordered the child to shoot.
Officers confirmed how they did not fire back after the boy opened fire on them.
Investigations into the bizarre but alarming incident are now taking place as the Police Chief says that the campaign to target law enforcement officers needs to stop soon.
