Tragic scenes erupted at a children’s daycare center recently after a gunman went on a bizarre shooting spree while trying to pick up his own child.

According to local media outlets, at least 35 people have been killed and among them include many pregnant women and children. A recent report confirmed that 24 kids were killed in total but there are fears of the death toll rising.

It was scenes of absolute heartbreak and chaos in Thailand’s Nong Bua Lamphu province as emergency services rushed to the scene to rescue those covered in blood. So many were injured and crying for help while others lay dead on the floor.

Officials claim the gunman was a former police officer who went ballistic at the nursery when he couldn’t find his own son. Therefore he took out his gun and started to spray bullets in all directions, not realizing the adverse consequences of his actions.

Other sources spoke about how the gunman had just recently appeared in court on charges related to drug possession, right before the attack.

Some of the kids were believed to be as young as 2 and they were accompanied by adults as well.

A manhunt was launched at the start to catch the culprit authorities whom they named and identified as 34-year-old Panya Khamrap. He reportedly fled from the scene immediately after carrying out the horrifying shooting spree that took away so many young and innocent lives.

Many witnesses tried to catch the culprit and he started to fire at them as well, right before making a quick escape from the incident.

Just recently, a new statement has been released by the police that confirmed how the gunman had reportedly killed himself, right after he shot his wife and child dead.

This terrifying act is being called the most tragic and deadliest mass shooting incident in the country’s history.
